Phelps is truly a Special Dog; both of his parents were National Specialty Winners, hence the National in his name. He is of correct breed type, with size, substance and plenty of bone. He has a beautiful headpiece, deep chest, great tuck-up, and a rock solid topline. He has a fantastic, dense ,wiry coat. He glides when he moves. He has a fantastic temperament. Phelps loves to be loved. He easily finished his show championship with limited showing and two 5 point majors. He finished by going Winners Dog at the 2009 Regional Specialty. He also won a Judges Award of Merit, BOS in the National Futurity, and BOS in the National Sweepstakes. Phelps also had 2 Puppy Sporting Group 1sts, and a Puppy Best in Show at 6 months old ! He is showing promise in the bird field and will be seeking his Senior Hunt Title in the Spring. He is true to his name Because he loves the water. Look for Phelps in the Specials Ring in late 2010.
